OFFICIAL NOTICE 2025 MUNICIPAL GENERAL ELECTION
In accordance with Utah Code Section 10-3-301(2)(a), I, Diana Baun, Town Clerk, give notice that the following offices will be voted on within the Town of Brighton in the 2025 General Election and the dates for filing a declaration of candidacy for those offices:
2025 OFFICES TO BE VOTED ON
- Copperton Mayor, 4-year term
- Council Member - Council At-Large C - 1 seat - 4-year term
- Council Member - Council At-Large D - 1 seat - 4-year term
CANDIDATE FILING PERIODS
Traditional Candidates
The Declaration of Candidacy filing period for qualified candidates begins on Monday, June 2, 2025, at 8:00 a.m. and ends at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, June 6, 2025. Declarations of Candidacy must be made in person with Diana Baun, City Clerk, between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday June 2 through Friday June 6 at the Greater Salt Lake Municipal Services District Offices, located at 860 W. Levoy Dr., Suite 300, Taylorsville, UT 84123.
A $50 Filing Fee will be collected during the declaration period.

Qualifications to Run for Office
- Be a United States citizen at the time of filing
- Be a registered voter of the municipality
- Be a resident in the town, township or city for 12 consecutive months prior to the election.
- Not be a convicted felon unless the right to hold elective office has been restored.
